Sr Staff Supplier Quality Engineer (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Act as the liaison between regional suppliers, subcontracted manufacturing operations, component suppliers, and hirify.global.
• Manage quality excursions and drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Support process and material changes, site certification, supplier audits, and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers on semiconductor module assembly, PCB assembly, SMT, passive components, and embedded substrates.
• Identify quality trends, manage improvement projects, and promote best practices across supplier operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant supplier quality management experience, including supplier selection, quality improvement, and manufacturing excursion response.
• Strong knowledge of advanced semiconductor packaging, including Multi-Chip Modules and Wafer-Level Chip Scale Packages.
• Experience with semiconductor module assembly, PCB assembly, SMT, passive components, and embedded substrate processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and process audit methodology.
• Good English speaking, writing, and listening skills; auditor certification or qualification for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3.

• Practical use of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Core Tools.
• Experience influencing suppliers and driving timely resolution of quality issues.
• Experience in a regional or global supplier quality environment.
