Senior Engineer, Supplier Advanced Quality (Automotive Supplier Quality): Leading supplier advanced quality planning for seat components and parts, from quality objectives and design reviews through capability studies, control plans, and PPAP approval, with an accent on cross-functional coordination and customer-specific requirements. Focus on coordinating suppliers, validating manufacturing quality systems, applying statistical methods, and delivering complete AQP and PPAP packages on schedule.

What you will do
- Lead component and parts commodity teams in defining quality objective roadmaps and securing approval of targets.
- Coordinate cross-functional SDT activities, including safety sign-offs, design reviews, program reviews, and phase exit reviews.
- Lead supplier Advanced Quality Planning activities for seat components, including Run@Rate, PPAP, control plans, capability studies, part layouts, and measurement system analysis.
- Coordinate supplier manufacturing quality systems for prototype, pre-production, and production builds.
- Coordinate customer seat appearance approvals and customer-specific Advanced Quality Planning requirements.
- Ensure SDT deliverables and supplier AQP packages are completed accurately and on schedule.
Requirements
- Experience leading supplier advanced quality engineering activities for components or parts.
- Knowledge of PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, capability studies, part layouts, gage design, gage R&R, and measurement system analysis.
- Ability to apply statistical methods throughout product and process development and incorporate them into control plans.
- Ability to coordinate suppliers, customers, and cross-functional SDT members to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Familiarity with customer-specific systems such as DaimlerChrysler PRISM, GM PRR, and Ford WERS.
