Area HR Manager (Retail)

What you will do

• Partner strategically with the Area Manager and Sales Teams to execute the people agenda and support sustainable retail growth.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, internal mobility, succession planning, and talent pipeline development for the area.
• Use HR data and business insights to define local priorities and coach Store Managers on KPI-based people decisions.
• Support performance management, identify training needs, and coordinate learning initiatives with Regional HR and the Learning network.
• Promote company values through onboarding, values training, leadership coaching, and feedback practices.
• Maintain consistent HR policy application, legal compliance, and fair, engaging working conditions.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of business direction, operational challenges, and the pace and complexity of retail operations.
• Ability to advise managers, employees, and stakeholders across the employee lifecycle.
• Strong execution, follow-up, resource mobilisation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Clear, concise, engaging communication skills, including active listening and constructive feedback.
• Ability to work in the Shanghai, China area.
