Software Integration Engineer 2 (On-Call) - Linux/Bash/Python/Docker/Kubernetes/IaC/Helm/Prometheus/Grafana

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, and provide operational support for the PaaS component of the CASA Compute Environment.
• Operate secure, multi-tenant, high-performance, and highly available Kubernetes clusters on Linux infrastructure.
• Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads involving ingress, performance, networking, storage, and related platform concerns.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation, Helm Charts, scripts, and monitoring solutions.
• Support platform reliability, scalability, security compliance, and cluster performance for mission and application requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus at least six years of demonstrable relevant experience; five years of directly related Computer Science work may substitute for the degree.
• Experience with Linux CLI and tools, Bash or Python scripting, and Docker or Podman.
• Experience administering and monitoring Kubernetes clusters and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads.
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible, as well as writing, deploying, and maintaining Helm Charts.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Git, source-code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Experience in a DevOps environment using Agile methodologies.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Python applications, REST services, and microservices.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification.
