Senior Design Manager (Project Management)

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering and design projects from inception through completion.
• Establish project objectives, delivery strategies, execution plans and integrated design programmes.
• Coordinate internal disciplines, external consultants, contractors and client stakeholders.
• Manage scope, programme, resources, budget, quality, risks, commercial matters and change control.
• Lead design meetings, coordination workshops, reviews, RFIs, technical queries and design assurance activities.
• Mentor project teams, support business development and contribute to project management process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, design management or project delivery within a design consultancy.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and design teams, managing concurrent workstreams and complex project lifecycles.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, change control, commercial performance, budgets and project delivery methodologies.
• Excellent client-facing communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Competence with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project or equivalent planning software.

Nice to have

• Chartered Engineer, Chartered Project Professional or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Experience with mission-critical infrastructure, data centre or complex building projects.
