Senior Project Manager (Education)

Location: Hybrid or onsite at the Milton Keynes office, United Kingdom; office attendance is expected when necessary, approximately once per quarter or more often according to business needs.

Salary: £47,389–£56,535 per year

What you will do

• Lead complex projects and improvement initiatives from discovery through implementation.
• Apply Agile, iterative delivery, proof-of-concept, pilot, testing, and evaluation approaches.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration across faculties, professional services, and stakeholder groups.
• Define objectives, scope, requirements, success measures, priorities, resources, and delivery plans with stakeholders.
• Apply user-centred and co-design approaches for staff and student services and solutions.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, governance, reporting, continuous improvement, and change adoption.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering complex projects, programmes, or organisational change in large and complex environments.
• Practical experience with delivery methodologies and techniques such as Agile and APM.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and influencing stakeholders without formal line-management authority.
• Experience running discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, pilots, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, planning, prioritisation, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support inclusive, accessible, user-centred delivery and work effectively through uncertainty and changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with curriculum, learning, educational technology, or student-experience change initiatives.
• Experience applying DevOps principles and organisational change management.
• Knowledge of service design methodologies and relevant Agile, Scrum, APM, PRINCE2, MSP, or change-management qualifications.
• Experience with procurement, supplier management, higher education, or complex matrix organisations.
