Software Integration Engineer 3 (On-Call) - Linux/Bash/Python/Docker/Kubernetes/Helm/Grafana/Jira

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD, United States; U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with favorable Polygraph are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, and provide operational support for the Platform-as-a-Service component of the CASA Compute Environment.
• Support secure, multi-tenant, high-performance, and highly available Kubernetes clusters in a Linux-based infrastructure.
• Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, including ingress, performance, networking, and storage issues.
• Develop Bash and Python scripts, deploy and maintain Helm charts, and automate infrastructure using Ansible.
• Monitor platform health and performance with Prometheus and Grafana while collaborating through Git-based workflows.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with favorable Polygraph and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least eight years of demonstrable relevant experience, or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Linux CLI tools, Bash or Python scripting, and containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.
• Demonstrated experience administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts and automation tools including Ansible.
• Experience writing, deploying, and maintaining Helm charts, using Prometheus/Grafana, and managing source code with Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other Atlassian tools.
• Experience in DevOps environments using Agile methodologies.
• Experience developing Python REST services or microservices, or willingness to learn.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
