Apprentice Maintenance (Manufacturing)

Location: Horsham, PA, USA; onsite plant-based role. Full-time work on a rotating 3/4/4/3 schedule with 12-hour shifts, including monthly rotation between days and nights.

Wage: $25.40 per hour. The apprenticeship typically lasts four years, with yearly pay increases after on-the-job training competencies are met and good standing is maintained.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, tooling, and plant equipment.
• Set up and operate machine tools, lathes, and grinders; select, grind, and adjust tooling for required speeds, feeds, tolerances, and finishes.
• Interpret technical drawings, calculate dimensions, and produce or repair parts according to prints and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance, welding, heat treating, housekeeping, painting, and facility maintenance support as needed.
• Maintain logbooks, paperwork, tooling records, organized work areas, and clear shift-to-shift communication.
• Follow safety, food safety, environmental, hazardous waste, and standard operating procedures while completing assigned training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in completing an associate degree or certification in Mechatronics or a related manufacturing maintenance field through a program approved by hirify.global's Corporate Maintenance Excellence team.
• Experience with hand tools and the ability to communicate, read, comprehend, and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Availability for rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, Monday through Sunday, regular overtime, and on-call work as directed.
• Maintain a 3.0 average during schooling.
