Senior Professional Engineer, Civil - Site Design

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; hybrid schedule with Tuesday–Thursday in the office and Monday–Friday working from home.

Salary: $103,400–$132,500 per year.

What you will do

• Lead civil site development projects from preliminary design through construction.
• Manage project teams and coordinate civil design activities with other disciplines.
• Develop site layouts, grading plans, roadway and utility designs, access plans, stormwater systems, and permitting documentation.
• Lead QA/QC reviews for civil projects and maintain technical design quality.
• Mentor and develop less experienced engineers in design standards, quality control, and project management.
• Build client relationships and secure new project opportunities through a seller-doer approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration in Minnesota.
• At least 10 years of progressive technical design experience with site development projects.
• At least 5 years of successful project management experience and at least 2 years of business development experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, regulatory agencies, and permit applications involving FEMA, DOT, DNR, and state or local governments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Professional registration, or the ability to obtain registration, in Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, or Iowa.
• Management and site design experience for private commercial or industrial developers.
• Experience with renewable energy infrastructure, including solar or wind projects.
