What you will do

  • Lead civil design for land development projects, including site grading, roadway layout, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with clients, permitting agencies, and internal teams across public- and private-sector projects in Alaska.
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Mentor EITs and junior staff while managing multidisciplinary teams and concurrent projects.
  • Support proposals, client engagement, public presentations, and construction-related efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Alaska PE license or ability to obtain one within 12 months.
  • 10+ years of civil or site development experience, preferably in Alaska or cold regions.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and editing specifications.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of Alaska residency.
  • Project management expertise or PMP certification.
  • GIS experience and familiarity with ADEC and municipal permitting processes.
  • Knowledge of sustainable site design and low-impact development practices.
  • Experience with subdivision design, commercial site planning, and public infrastructure.
