Civil Engineer (7-12 Years)

Location: Oakland, California, USA; hybrid work schedule with some work-from-home flexibility.

Salary: $97,000–$140,000 per year, based on experience; paid overtime at 1.0 times the hourly rate.

What you will do

• Provide civil engineering services from initial feasibility through design, permitting, and construction support.
• Develop site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility, and public improvement plans.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and prepare technical studies.
• Support construction administration and consulting activities across multiple market sectors.
• Scope new projects and contribute to proposal writing.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and other engineering professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 7–12 years of experience in civil design, permitting, and construction administration related to site development.
• Current registration as an EIT.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
