Senior Engineer (Roads + Highways)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide senior-level roadway design expertise for state and regional transportation projects in Georgia.
• Manage project planning, budgets, schedules, resources, task lifecycles, and quality assurance.
• Lead roadway design, including geometric design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, pavement marking, and signage.
• Coordinate OpenRoads Designer workflows with other engineering tools and multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, teaming partners, and GDOT.
• Provide technical leadership, resolve complex design challenges, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience with OpenRoads Designer for roadway and transportation design.
• Experience with roadway geometrics, traffic staging and maintenance, drainage, stormwater, pavement marking, signage, utility coordination, erosion control, and grading.
• Strong task and project management skills, including budget, schedule, resource, and multidisciplinary team management.
• Ability to coordinate subconsultants and deliver work that meets client expectations and applicable standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license in Georgia.
• Experience with the GDOT process.
