Reality Capture Specialist Manager (BIM)

Location: California studios in Los Angeles, Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego, or San Francisco; four days in office with flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead and mentor regional Reality Capture Specialists, coordinating priorities and workflows.
• Operate, register, and process data from a wide range of 3D laser scanning equipment.
• Evaluate building conditions and produce precise, efficient 3D scans and digital models.
• Train staff in advanced scanning techniques and building capture documentation.
• Perform QA checks and participate in BIM kickoff, lessons-learned, and training sessions.
• Manage project schedules and budgets while partnering with Project Managers and cross-functional design disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying; actively working toward licensure.
• 10–12 years of professional 3D scanning experience, including at least five years of project management experience.
• Remote Pilot Certificate under FAA Part 107.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, ReCap, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, and Dynamo.
• Experience with point-cloud software including Leica Cyclone/Register360, Field360, 3DR, and CloudWorx.
• Strong knowledge of building documentation, LOA standards for 3D capture, LOD standards for BIM, and concurrent project-team collaboration.

Nice to have

• CSI, USIBD, or Autodesk certifications, or active progress toward certification.
• Experience with NavVis, Leica, Esri, or Cintoo.
• Knowledge of integrating emerging technologies into sustainable building design and construction.
