Virtual Construction Manager (Reality Capture)

Location: Atlanta, GA; 50–75% field time on active construction sites, with office-based planning and reporting and travel to project locations.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide adoption of reality capture technologies and create standardized SOPs for capture workflows.
• Mentor 3–5 Reality Capture Associates and provide training and technical support to project teams.
• Establish quality-control protocols for captured data across projects.
• Manage workflows and tools including NavVis, FARO, Leica Cyclone, DroneDeploy, OpenSpace, and ReCap Pro.
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI-powered point-cloud analysis, new scanner platforms, and autonomous capture.
• Collaborate with BIM Coordination and Operations teams, manage equipment and vendors, and present reality capture value to clients.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in BIM/VDC, surveying, or geospatial data management roles.
• Hands-on experience with 3D laser scanning, photogrammetry, and LiDAR, plus strong knowledge of surveying principles and coordinate systems.
• Ability to operate FARO, NavVis, and Leica laser scanners.
• Experience with ReCap Pro, FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone, NavVis, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, shop drawings, and other design communication tools.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and ongoing awareness of industry trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to navigate uneven terrain, stairs, and ladders; lift equipment up to 50 lbs; and stand for extended periods during scans.
• Willingness to travel to project locations and work in weather, dust, noise, and other active construction-site conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience leading teams of 3 or more people.
• Drone operations experience and FAA Part 107 certification.
• Data science or machine learning experience in construction.
• Experience piloting and implementing new technologies at scale.
• Expertise in Nvidia Omniverse and digital twin development.
• Experience with Gaussian Splatting and related immersive capture technologies.
