Virtual Construction Manager (Reality Capture)

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States. Full-time field and office role with 50–75% of time spent on active construction sites; travel to project locations is required.

What you will do

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide standard operating procedures for reality capture.
• Lead and mentor 3–5 Reality Capture Associates in laser scanning, data processing, and emerging workflows.
• Establish quality-control protocols and transform scan data into actionable project insights.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-powered point-cloud analysis, autonomous capture, and new scanner platforms.
• Manage reality-capture tools, equipment inventory, vendor relationships, and related budgets.
• Collaborate with BIM Coordination and Operations teams and present reality-capture solutions to clients.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in BIM/VDC, surveying, or geospatial data management.
• Hands-on experience with 3D laser scanning, photogrammetry, LiDAR, surveying principles, and coordinate systems.
• Experience operating FARO, NavVis, and Leica laser scanners.
• Experience with ReCap Pro, FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone, NavVis, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and design communication tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience; ability to navigate construction sites and lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience leading teams of three or more people.
• Drone-operation experience and FAA Part 107 certification.
• Experience applying data science or machine learning in construction.
• Experience implementing new technologies at scale, developing digital twins, or using Nvidia Omniverse.
• Experience with Gaussian Splatting and immersive capture technologies.
