Senior Civil Construction Inspector

Location: Sacramento, California, United States; full-time, regular position.

Salary: $41.68–$59.55 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct and document construction observations for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts.
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision when needed.
• Collaborate with field representatives and Project Managers.
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects when required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant construction inspection experience; 8 years may substitute for a high school diploma or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent, unless replaced by the applicable experience substitution.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to apply applicable ASTM standards and interpret construction schedules.
• US employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Technical school or Associate's degree.
• Relevant industry certifications.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards including D558, D698, D1556, D1632, D1633, D2216, D2487, D6913, and D6938.
