Professional Engineer, Transportation - Airfield Infrastructure

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; hybrid workplace. Travel required as needed, typically 10–20%, with occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $92,000–$117,840 per year.

What you will do

• Support design and planning for complex site development and airfield projects.
• Manage projects from conceptual design through construction.
• Contribute to runway, taxiway, apron, utility, roadway, NAVAIDS, fueling facility, and security enhancement projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, and planners serving general aviation airports, commercial airports, and military bases.
• Prepare proposals, technical reports, plan sets, specifications, construction cost estimates, and client or public presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration, or the ability to obtain registration within six months of employment.
• 5–10 years of design experience in aviation, municipal, transportation, or site development projects.
• Experience with roadways, utilities, site grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
• Interest or experience in leading project teams and managing scopes, schedules, financials, and technical requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or ArcGIS.
• Airfield or airport infrastructure design experience.
• Experience preparing proposals and contract documentation.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and procedures.
