Software Engineer 2/3 (Java)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Develop Java software for a small, mission-focused engineering team.
• Build and maintain REST-based services and Linux applications.
• Use Git, Gradle, Guice/dependency injection, and Docker in the development workflow.
• Support solutions involving ELK, MongoDB, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to limited-scope front-end UI tasks when needed.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• At least 14 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with Java, Git, Gradle, Guice/dependency injection, Docker, REST, and Linux.

Nice to have

• Experience with the ELK Stack, MongoDB, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
• Background developing front-end UI solutions with Angular and TypeScript.
• Willingness to work on limited-scope UI tasks.
