Strategy & Operations Associate (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States

Base annual salary: $80,000–$115,000 USD, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead high-priority initiatives from initial assessment through implementation and measurable impact.
• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities through financial and strategic analysis.
• Manage operational improvement roadmaps focused on reducing risk, increasing efficiency, and enabling new capabilities.
• Collaborate across departments and business units to develop and implement solutions.
• Build and maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools for performance tracking and actionable KPI insights.
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive initiatives with measurable business impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategy, or a high-growth startup.
• Experience executing strategic and operational initiatives with measurable results.
• Strong understanding of financial and business fundamentals, with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable approach to complex problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to travel occasionally.
