Managing Consultant - Corporate Finance - Transaction Advisory (Corporate Finance)

Location: New York, NY; candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Salary: $120,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory and diligence engagements.
• Delegate, supervise, and lead project activities across engagement workstreams.
• Perform quality of earnings, financial trend, working capital, benchmark, financial statement, business plan, and cash flow analyses.
• Identify purchase price adjustment issues and develop transaction structuring insights.
• Lead reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Collaborate with advisors, BRG experts, client contacts, and other professionals while supporting practice development and client pitches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, management, engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
• Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, including three-statement models, cash flows, and scenario analysis.
• Ability to analyze large volumes of financial and operational data and develop qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, project management, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or similar financial research tools.

Nice to have

• MBA or CPA.
• CFA, CPA, technical accounting, or GAAP expertise.
