Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas; residence in or near Austin required, with travel throughout Central Texas. Candidates cannot reside in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, or PR. U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Base compensation: $130,000–$165,000 per year, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the growth of the municipal civil engineering practice in Austin and Central Texas.
• Build relationships with cities, utilities, counties, developers, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Lead public infrastructure and select private development projects as a senior project manager and technical leader.
• Develop project scopes, fees, schedules, staffing plans, delivery approaches, and quality-management strategies.
• Lead proposals, interviews, client presentations, public meetings, and professional representation.
• Recruit, mentor, and guide the local civil engineering team as the practice grows.

Requirements

• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Residence in or near Austin, TX and willingness to travel throughout Central Texas.
• At least eight years of relevant civil engineering experience, including team leadership and project management.
• Experience driving business growth, market expansion, client development, proposals, interviews, and project pursuits.
• Knowledge of public infrastructure funding and the Central Texas municipal, utility, regulatory, and development environment.
• Authorization to work for any U.S. employer without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Established relationships with Central Texas municipalities, utilities, developers, or industry partners.
• Private or industrial entitlement experience and an established partner network.
• Spanish bilingual ability.
