Senior Engineer (Structural)

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA office

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Build and manage relationships with strategic partners and public and private customers.
• Identify business development opportunities, lead pursuits, negotiate project scope and fees, and support cross-sector collaboration.
• Lead structural design and project management efforts through successful project completion.
• Interpret building codes and standards, prepare structural plans, details, calculations, and construction documentation.
• Analyze structures using 3D structural analysis software and review drawings, shop drawings, and other submittals.
• Participate in design meetings and visit project sites for construction administration and observations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Design from an accredited institution.
• Professional Civil Engineer license.
• 15+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
• Experience leading strategic business development initiatives and managing engineering teams.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to project planning, modeling, design, and construction.
• Experience presenting engineering work to clients, boards, public officials, and other stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Professional Structural Engineering license and an established NCEES Record.
• Experience with RISA 3D, SAP, STAAD, RAM, REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Teams.
• Consulting firm, quality control review, project management, or construction experience.
