TL;DR
Virtual Design & Construction Specialist (VDC) (BIM/construction): Coordinating architectural and engineering BIM models and construction-ready drawings across preconstruction and construction with an accent on clash detection, model coordination, and design conflict resolution. Focus on leading weekly BIM coordination meetings, managing LOD requirements, tracking RFIs and action items, and keeping field models aligned with design and construction changes.
Location: Dallas Office, United States; limited travel to other offices and project sites as needed

What you will do
- Implement VDC programs and BIM execution plans across preconstruction and construction projects.
- Set up and maintain projects in Revit, BIM360, and Navisworks, including coordinated federated models for weekly reviews.
- Detect clashes, resolve design conflicts, and address BIM-related issues and design RFIs before construction documents are finalized.
- Lead weekly BIM and design coordination meetings with design teams, subcontractors, trade partners, and project teams.
- Track LOD requirements, coordination schedules, RFIs, observations, action items, and project dashboards through completion.
- Support field teams by preparing models for iPad viewing, resolving field issues, and maintaining models through construction changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, construction technology, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on construction technology experience in the AEC industry, including VDC adoption on large capital projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, and Oracle Primavera Cloud.
- Advanced understanding of construction documentation, including plans, specifications, shop drawings, as-built drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
- Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, deadline management, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

- Working knowledge of laser scanners, 3D capture, and drones.
