Software Engineer 3 (Java/Linux)

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD, United States; U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java software in Linux environments.
• Build and integrate REST services using JAX-RS, JSON, and XML.
• Manage project builds with Maven and development workflows in Eclipse and GitLab.
• Support daily engineering responsibilities and deliver mission-focused software solutions.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Twenty years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience with Linux, Java, JAX-RS, REST, JSON, XML, Maven, Eclipse, and Git/GitLab.

Nice to have

• Apache Karaf/OSGi, JUnit, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, OpenAPI/Swagger, Angular, VSCode, satellite communication/RF, Confluence/Jira, or generative AI experience.
