Refrigeration Technician (Boston)

Location: Boston, MA, USA; regional overnight travel required.

Salary: $30–$60 per hour, dependent on experience.

hirify.global provides engineered industrial refrigeration and process-cooling solutions using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support.

What you will do

• Repair, maintain, and support industrial refrigeration equipment for food and beverage and refrigerated-storage customers.
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Inspect screw and reciprocating compressors and perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, ammonia central systems, control systems, and alarms.
• Follow safety policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.
• Travel regionally overnight and work approximately 50–60 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant supermarket, rack, commercial, or industrial refrigeration experience.
• Knowledge of refrigeration controls and high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Experience with motor alignment.
• Pre-employment drug, felony, and motor vehicle record screening is required; regular drug testing applies because this is a safety-sensitive position.
• Tobacco products are not allowed during the workday at jobsites.

Nice to have

• HVAC/R or electrical schooling.
• RETA 1 and RETA 2 certifications.
