Support Center Technician I (Refrigeration and Controls)

Location: Remote - US; travel to a hirify.global site may be required regularly

Salary: $62,000–$75,000 annually, plus an additional stipend for on-call shifts.

hirify.global develops HVACR, refrigeration, controls, software, and monitoring technologies for residential, commercial, and industrial environments and the cold chain.

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical support contact for clients and internal teams working with refrigeration and control systems.
• Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for compressors, valves, controls, and refrigerant circuits.
• Collaborate with field technicians and engineers to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
• Maintain support records and create reports on system performance and recommended improvements.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge base materials.
• Conduct training sessions and develop instructional resources for technicians and clients.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with BAS, BMS, or facility control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical or control systems.
• Effective collaboration with customers, technicians, and engineers.
• Availability for a weekly on-call rotation during standard business hours coverage.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with food retail case controllers.
• Field or contractor installation experience.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical prints and communications systems.
