Field Service Technician (HVACR)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, aligned with the Cudahy, Wisconsin location. Travel is required 80% of the time, including regular travel to company sites and customer locations, with evening and weekend travel as needed. Must be able to travel freely between the United States and Canada.

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 annually, plus performance-based merit review compensation.

What you will do

• Commission, start up, and troubleshoot Vilter industrial refrigeration compressors and natural gas compressor equipment.
• Coordinate and assist subcontractors with preventative maintenance and warranty work.
• Resolve technical issues for customers with support from engineering, parts, and service personnel.
• Conduct and participate in technical training for hirify.global and Vilter equipment.
• Support Sales and Business Development teams, including joint customer sales calls.
• Provide trusted technical advice to customers and contractors through field and phone support.

Requirements

• EPA 608 Universal Certification or equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of industrial refrigeration experience and five years of work or field experience.
• Knowledge or experience with HVACR controls and Microsoft Office for service documentation and scheduling.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Able to travel freely between the United States and Canada, travel 80% of the time, and travel during evenings or weekends.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds (31.8 kg) and a mandatory driver's license.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with industrial refrigeration or gas compressors, hirify.global screw and reciprocating technologies, and NH3, natural gas, or CO2 systems.
• Knowledge of discrete electronic controllers and voltages from 4–20 mA up to 4140 V.
