Refrigeration Technician I

Location: Montgomery, Alabama, supporting customers throughout the surrounding service area

What you will do

• Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in refrigeration units, ice machines, and refrigerated cases.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to company and customer standards.
• Support senior technicians during service calls, system inspections, and repairs.
• Identify basic mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues and escalate complex problems.
• Document service activities, parts used, and job notes in company systems.
• Communicate with customers, dispatch, and service management while maintaining tools, equipment, and the company vehicle.

Requirements

• Entry-level commercial refrigeration or HVAC technician with foundational refrigeration experience; 1–3 years preferred.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and controls.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation.
• Willingness to learn under experienced technicians, work independently in the field, and follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
