Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite

Base salary: $135,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

What you will do

• Improve, expand, and redesign core server components using Java, security, and cloud computing services.
• Design, implement, and maintain service APIs and web applications with efficient, reusable, and modular code.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and secure software architecture and conduct code reviews.
• Analyze complex technical problems, troubleshoot software issues, and contribute to project planning and delivery.
• Apply software development security best practices and stay current with relevant technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
• At least 4 years of Java development experience and extensive experience building complex software solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Expertise with Spring and Hibernate, plus experience with MySQL or another relational database system.
• Experience implementing SSO solutions such as SAML and OpenID.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
