Contracts Management Analyst (Government Acquisition): Supporting US Navy weapons engineering and program acquisition through procurement documentation, contract administration, and analysis with an accent on Federal Acquisition Regulations, DoD 5000 requirements, and government program offices. Focus on analyzing contracts and financial or legislative data, developing recommendations, and presenting findings to the Government.

Location: Arlington, VA; 100% onsite in-office position with no hybrid or remote work

What you will do

  • Support the Government in drafting procurement-related documents under the Federal Acquisition Regulations and DoD 5000 series requirements.
  • Assist with contract administration, including Procurement Requests, Modification Requests, Technical Direction Letters, and Technical Instructions.
  • Collect, review, and analyze financial, contract, employment, and legislative information.
  • Define problems, develop recommendations, and report findings through written reports, briefs, and oral presentations.
  • Support a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Entry level: education in pursuit of a business or contracts career.
  • Junior level: 1–3 years of experience as a contracts or program analyst.
  • Mid level: 4–7 years of experience as a contracts or program analyst for a Government program office.
  • Ability to analyze information and communicate recommendations in written and oral formats.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, policy, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with NAVSEA or PEO IWS program offices.
  • Active Secret clearance and knowledge of DoD 5000 legislation, FAR, and DFARS.
  • Experience with acquisition documentation for ACAT-1, ACAT-2, or ACAT-3 programs.
  • Experience collaborating with technical, acquisition, administrative, and subcontractor teams.
