Sr Manager, Information Architecture Plan & Source (Data Architecture)

Location: Madrid, Spain; up to 10% international travel required.

What you will do

• Lead information architecture for the Plan & Source functional domains within Innovative Medicine Supply Chain.
• Design FAIR and AI-ready data assets spanning master, transactional, operational, and analytical data.
• Develop conceptual and logical information models, semantic definitions, taxonomies, ontologies, business glossaries, and knowledge graph patterns.
• Build the AI-ready context layer by connecting metadata, business meaning, relationships, rules, lineage, and knowledge structures.
• Partner with Data Owners, Data Governance, Data Operations, J&J Technology, and architecture partners to deliver scalable and governed data assets.
• Drive information architecture standards, operating models, architecture reviews, playbooks, templates, and adoption across IMSC.

Requirements

• In-depth experience in information architecture, data architecture, data modelling, or data management across complex enterprise domains.
• Strong knowledge of FAIR principles, metadata management, business glossaries, taxonomies, semantic modelling, ontologies, knowledge graphs, data governance, and data quality.
• Experience designing end-to-end data products across master data, transactional data, operational data, and analytics consumption layers.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, or regulated data environments.
• Experience with data catalogues, metadata repositories, semantic layers, knowledge graph technologies, lakehouse platforms, or comparable capabilities.
• Ability to influence senior and cross-functional stakeholders, build partnerships, and work in federated operating models.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Alation, Databricks, Neo4j, TopBraid, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BDC, or medallion architecture.
• Knowledge of IDMP, ISO standards, data mesh, and domain-driven design.
• Experience using automation, AI-assisted workflows, or agentic AI for data modelling, metadata curation, semantic modelling, or data quality.
