Data Architect (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with attendance in the office or on client site for a minimum of two days per week, with some assignments requiring up to five days per week on client site.

What you will do

• Define data blueprints and architectures for complex client programmes.
• Design end-to-end data platforms covering ingestion, orchestration, governance, security, cost optimisation, and observability.
• Translate business needs into scalable, resilient, and secure data solutions.
• Lead engineering teams and establish practical architecture as a senior subject-matter expert.
• Own end-to-end assignment delivery, lead bids, identify opportunities, and contribute to business growth.
• Set technical direction, develop thought leadership, and support the growth of less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Hands-on data experience, including leading engineering teams delivering applications and services.
• Strong understanding and practical application of data architecture and delivery methodologies.
• Ability to work across the data domain and understand the impact of AI on solution design and delivery.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
• Experience with leading cloud and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Nice to have

• Certifications in relevant methodologies and cloud technologies.
• Experience across multiple leading cloud and data technology vendors.

Hiring process

• Initial call with a technology recruiter.
• Two 60-minute competency or technical interviews, covering both formats.
• Final 60-minute meeting with a PA leader, including a mini case study and client-centricity discussion.
