Solution Architect (AI)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work with two days from home per week. Travel required for 30–50% of the time based on client requirements.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise planning solution design and delivery across customer industries and geographies.
• Run blueprinting workshops, define the o9 point of view, and clarify customer requirements.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, configuration leads, product experts, and technical teams to document business requirements and functional designs.
• Define data requirements and strategies for sourcing, maintaining, and predicting missing data from ERP, PLM, database, spreadsheet, email, and other systems.
• Coordinate scope, user stories, sprints, timelines, risks, demonstrations, deliverable validation, and customer acceptance.
• Develop and deliver Super User and End User training while supporting issue resolution and successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Experience leading enterprise system implementation or business transformation projects at a consulting firm, IT vendor, or systems integrator from design through value realization.
• Experience structuring complex business problems, prioritizing core issues, and translating them into solutions for executive and business stakeholders.
• Experience leading data model, logic, or algorithm design, as well as delivery leadership, team development, or peer review.
• Strong understanding of both business and technology, with the ability to lead projects hands-on and manage priorities, risks, ownership, and expectations.
• Japanese at native level or advanced business negotiation, presentation, and facilitation level is required.
• English communication skills and willingness to use English for global-team communication, specification reviews, and training tools are required.

Nice to have

• Interest in supply chain planning, including demand, supply, and production planning, or in statistical and optimization technologies.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile methods and sprint-based processes.
