Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing)

Location: Del Rey, California, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

Base compensation: $22.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and minor electrical systems used in production and processing.
• Perform tooling changes, equipment setups, preventive maintenance, and general maintenance tasks.
• Evaluate problematic systems and determine required installation or repair services.
• Inspect work and major contractor projects for completeness, assisting with new installations and system changes.
• Maintain routine, preventive-maintenance, inventory, equipment, and supply records.
• Follow OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, GFSI, audit, and company safety and food-safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or related technical education.
• At least two years of post-secondary education and training in general maintenance and repair or a related field.
• Experience in maintenance operations, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to install, inspect, repair, and maintain basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to weld using MIG/TIG, stick, and sanitary methods.
• Ability to follow OSHA, GMP, and food-safety programs and understand relevant occupational hazards and safety precautions.
