Credit Risk Analyst (Finance): Performing corporate credit assessments, internal rating analyses, and portfolio monitoring for Credit & Surety Reinsurance with an accent on financial spreading, credit limits, and global market analysis. Focus on identifying risk drivers, developing portfolio insights, and improving credit processes through data and AI-enabled transformation.
Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office
Base salary: €42,000–€70,000 gross annually for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do
- Perform credit analysis and internal rating assessments of corporate obligors across industries and geographies.
- Recommend credit limits in line with risk appetite, policies, and governance standards.
- Monitor portfolio exposures, market developments, sector trends, concentration risks, and early warning signals.
- Collaborate with global underwriting and risk management teams, communicating credit views for timely decisions.
- Improve credit processes, turnaround times, tools, methodologies, and analytical frameworks.
- Contribute to data-driven and AI-enabled transformation initiatives within Credit & Surety Reinsurance.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in credit analysis and related credit work.
- Relevant business degree or postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or CFA.
- Experience with financial spreading, financial projections, and credit application documents.
- Knowledge of global macroeconomics, financial markets, and credit-related products, supported by strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Good command of English and Spanish is required.
- Working knowledge of database management tools, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Proficiency in German or French.
