Reality Capture 3D Laser Scanning Specialist

Location: Dallas, Fort Worth, or Houston, Texas, or Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Hybrid schedule with four days in the office and flexibility to work outside the office on Fridays; frequent local and national travel, including overnight and short-term trips, is required.

What you will do

• Perform field 3D laser scanning, registration, processing, and delivery of point cloud data.
• Operate laser scanning and reality capture equipment to document existing buildings, sites, and spaces.
• Process and integrate point clouds with BIM/Revit models and perform QA/QC for scan and model alignment.
• Participate in drone capture, photogrammetry processing, and delivery of imagery, video, and digital models.
• Evaluate building conditions, construction documents, and project requirements to define capture methods and workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and project teams while improving reality capture workflows and services.

Requirements

• College or trade school education in architecture, surveying, construction, or a related AEC field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with 3D laser scanning, field capture, registration, and processing of scan survey data.
• Professional experience with Autodesk Revit and working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, ReCap, and BIM/CAD tools.
• Knowledge of building components, existing-conditions documentation, construction drawings, point cloud workflows, and LOA/LOD standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and deadlines and perform QA/QC of scan data and BIM deliverables.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without work visa or residency sponsorship.

Nice to have

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and experience with drone capture and photogrammetry.
• USIBD Building Documentation Certification, CSI, Autodesk, or another relevant industry certification.
• Advanced experience with NavVis, Leica Cyclone/Register 360, Field 360, CloudWorx, Cintoo, FARO, or similar platforms.
• Experience with survey control, photogrammetry and point cloud alignment, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Autodesk Forma, Dynamo, or Esri.
• Interest in improving workflows and expanding reality capture services.
