HR Solutions Architect (HR Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Mettawa, Illinois, United States; occasional travel may be required for project work, team meetings, or business needs.

Salary: $118,400–$174,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Define and maintain HR technology architecture strategies, roadmaps, and governance across Workday, UKG, ADP, and related platforms.
• Translate HR, payroll, benefits, operations, and IT objectives into scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions.
• Lead the design and oversight of HR systems, integrations, data flows, and technical solutions.
• Evaluate and govern AI and emerging digital capabilities to improve employee experience, workforce productivity, decision-making, and service delivery.
• Assess platform health, manage technical debt, prioritize enhancements, and guide technology investments.
• Provide architectural leadership to project teams, vendors, consultants, and technical resources throughout the solution lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, systems analysis, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT implementation and delivery projects.
• 5+ years of experience as an HR domain Solution Architect working with platforms such as Workday, UKG, ADP, Azure, and SailPoint.
• Strong experience with HR target architecture, landscape performance, system integrations, security, risk, compliance, and data governance.
• Understanding of application development methodologies, infrastructure, network architecture, and emerging technologies.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience working with vendors, offshore team members, and virtual teams in a global and diverse environment.
• Experience developing business cases, estimating financial impacts, conducting vendor assessments, and planning technology roadmaps.
