TL;DR
CNA/MA - Treatment Room (Oncology) (patient care and clinical support): Assisting physicians and clinicians with oncology patient care, treatment-room preparation, vital-sign collection, injections, records, and appointment coordination with an accent on safe clinical procedures and efficient patient flow. Focus on supporting examinations and treatments, maintaining disinfection protocols, processing equipment, and coordinating patient communications and follow-up care.

Location: East Cancer Center, Clackamas, Oregon, United States; onsite presence required during regularly scheduled business hours

Salary: $21.09–$35.65 per hour

What you will do

  • Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care, examinations, procedures, and daily treatment-room flow.
  • Escort patients, record vital signs and other pre-visit data, and obtain required medical records and test results.
  • Prepare, stock, disinfect, and maintain examination and treatment rooms and process instruments and equipment.
  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, including hormones and biological growth factors.
  • Answer patient calls, communicate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, and phone in prescriptions as directed.
  • Schedule tests, procedures, admissions, follow-up appointments, and perform related clerical tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • One to three years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program preferred.
  • Ability to handle patient-care duties, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • In-person work at the Clackamas employee site is required.

Nice to have

  • Oncology or specialty-care experience.
  • Phlebotomy experience.
