Trading Systems Analyst

Location: Hybrid work schedule near the office in Charlotte, NC; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Base salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year, plus variable incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor trading workflows, system outputs, exceptions, and operational metrics to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate production incidents, trace workflows, analyze configurations, and document root causes and business impact.
• Translate trading and operational needs into requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
• Maintain business configurations, rules, reference data, permissions, integrations, runbooks, and system inventories.
• Develop and execute test plans, regression scenarios, UAT, release readiness, production validation, and stabilization activities.
• Collaborate with Trading, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Portfolio Management on reliable and compliant trading technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in investment management, wealth management, portfolio trading, trading operations, or investment technology.
• Practical knowledge of the trading lifecycle, including order generation, rebalancing, execution, allocation, and post-trade processing.
• Experience with OMS, EMS, rebalancing, portfolio accounting, or related investment technology platforms.
• Experience with system configuration, business rules, reference data, integrations, UAT, regression testing, defect documentation, and production validation.
• Proficiency with Excel and experience using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable analytics tools.
