Manager, Civil Engineering (Data Centers)

Location: Remote, United States; Denver, Colorado listed. Travel up to 25%. Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass comprehensive background screening.

Compensation: $133,000–$154,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead civil engineers, design professionals, and engineering consultants supporting data center development projects.
• Oversee civil engineering design phases, schedules, quality control, safety policies, budgets, and project execution.
• Provide technical support for site due diligence, site test fits, development activities, construction, and I&E coordination.
• Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, reports, and project status updates.
• Assess project risks, materials, costs, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, construction teams, internal management, and critical project partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience in civil engineering and land development, including at least 5 years in site design and permitting.
• At least 2 years of experience developing data center sites, preferably for hyperscale clients.
• Strong knowledge of site due diligence and entitlement processes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software, as well as site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, stormwater management, roadway design, and fire coverage.
• Strong project management, supervision, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
