Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in Lakewood, Colorado, United States; travel up to 5%.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Design mechanical systems for commercial buildings and lead mechanical and electrical projects.
• Own project delivery, including scope, technical performance, budgets, schedules, staffing forecasts, and task lists.
• Prepare small proposals, client presentations, and change orders for out-of-scope work.
• Build and maintain client relationships while resolving payment issues and participating in client and owner meetings.
• Coordinate engineers, administrators, drafters, owners, architects, and subconsultants.
• Mentor less experienced team members and provide technical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
• At least 10 years of building design experience in the MEP industry.
• Professional Engineer registration is required, with the ability to obtain registration in Colorado.
• Experience with mechanical systems for commercial buildings; experience in data centers, healthcare, central utility plants, or laboratories is preferred.
• Leadership, judgment, initiative, communication, collaboration, and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD, Bluebeam, Revit, and CFD software and analysis.
