Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in Lakewood, Colorado, USA; travel up to 5%.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Design mechanical systems for commercial buildings and manage mechanical and electrical projects.
• Own project delivery, including technical performance, schedules, budgets, task lists, staffing forecasts, and change orders.
• Prepare small proposals and client presentations while developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Coordinate engineers, administrators, drafters, owners, architects, and subconsultants.
• Lead or participate in client and owner meetings and resolve payment issues.
• Mentor less experienced team members and make independent engineering decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of 10 years of building design experience in the MEP industry.
• Professional Engineer registration is required, with the ability to obtain registration in Colorado.
• Leadership, judgment, communication, collaboration, and motivational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, CAD, Bluebeam, Revit, CFD software, and engineering analysis.
• Experience with data centers, healthcare, central utility plants, or laboratories is preferred.
