AN/SPS-73(V)18 Radar Technician

Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States. Onsite role with more than 25% travel, including short-notice travel to US and overseas locations; a valid passport is required.

What you will do

• Support the In-Service Engineering Agent for navigation and surface search radar systems.
• Perform field change installations, performance evaluations, maintenance troubleshooting, and underway testing.
• Support radar system upgrades and modifications through design, testing, analysis, and technical documentation updates.
• Conduct post-installation System Operational Verification Tests and on-the-job training for ship personnel.
• Provide onboard and distance troubleshooting support for fleet casualty reports and technical assistance requests.
• Document maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and problem-resolution results as the radar subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Secret security clearance required.
• Practical experience maintaining and troubleshooting the AN/SPS-73(V)18 radar and other Navy radar systems.
• Experience with radar maintenance, repair, testing, operation, technical documentation, parts procurement, preventative maintenance, and technical reporting.
• Experience with Navy radar system underway test and evaluation.
• Experience providing administrative support, managing team schedules and resources, tracking action items, updating databases, and reporting financial status.
• Competence with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working with Navy technical support and fleet support teams.
• Experience reviewing and reporting on combat system casualty reports.
