Pharmacy Admix Tech II (Oncology)

Location: Denison, Texas, United States. Full-time onsite work, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; no weekends, call, or major holidays.

A large community oncology provider delivering evidence-based cancer care across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma through hundreds of providers and clinical sites.

What you will do

• Prepare medication orders and compound or admix oncology and non-oncology IV medications under pharmacist or physician supervision.
• Check order completeness, patient information, physician authorization, dosage volumes, and measurement conversions.
• Maintain controlled-substance records, medication documentation, temperature logs, protocol records, and patient-assistance drug logs.
• Manage medication and supply inventory, including quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, ordering, labeling, data entry, and pre-billing review.
• Clean hoods and admixture areas, dispose of mixing materials safely, and complete quality assurance and maintenance activities in line with OSHA, state rules, and USP requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level pharmacy experience; Level II requires at least one year of pharmacy experience with IV skills.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification is recommended unless required by state law.
• Ability to perform accurate medication preparation, documentation, measurements, and inventory work.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• IV sterile compounding experience.
• IV certification.
• For senior-level progression: at least five years of pharmacy experience with IV skills, oncology experience, extensive IV preparation experience, or completion of an ASHP-accredited or community college-based program.
