Senior Counsel, Employment & Litigation (SaaS)

What you will do

• Advise Human Resources, business leaders, and stakeholders on global employment law matters.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, accommodations, leave, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
• Manage the litigation portfolio, including employment claims, commercial disputes, settlements, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Direct outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions and develop litigation strategies and exposure assessments.
• Support internal investigations, legal risk mitigation, regulatory monitoring, and collaboration with Compliance, Privacy, Security, and HR.
• Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, develop policies, and deliver employment law training.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 7+ years of employment law and litigation experience, preferably with substantial in-house experience.
• Experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, employment policies, accommodations, leave, restrictive covenants, severance, and dispute management.
• Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, communication, judgment, and business-partnership skills.

• Experience in a SaaS, software, or technology company.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional and international employment regulations.
• Experience handling employment litigation before administrative agencies and courts.
• Experience supporting acquisitions and organizational integrations.
