Focus on implementing storyboards in Adobe Captivate, developing assessments and remediation paths, coordinating media integration, and maintaining traceability and configuration control.

Company

hirify.global develops military training and courseware programs, including computer-based training and interactive multimedia instruction.

What you will do

  • Test authored courseware and interactive multimedia instruction for functional bugs, navigation issues, broken interactions, and fidelity to instructional-design requirements.
  • Draft and edit student and instructor guides, job aids, points of instruction, lesson plans, and quick-reference materials.
  • Build written and scenario-based assessments, progressing from basic item types to branching decision trees and remediation paths.
  • Convert approved storyboards into working lesson pages and interactive multimedia screens, developing toward independent Adobe Captivate authoring.
  • Validate accessibility and packaging against Section 508, WCAG, and SCORM 1.2/2004 standards.
  • Coordinate media integration, defect resolution, configuration control, SME clarification, customer reviews, and traceability across source data and final courseware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, learning design, communications, English, journalism, multimedia/digital media, or a related field, or equivalent DoD training, QA, or technical-writing experience.
  • 1–4 years of professional experience in courseware QA, technical writing, instructional support, multimedia production, classroom instruction, or aviation/military training.
  • Ability to learn technical tools quickly, produce concise learner-facing writing, and identify defects, standards violations, broken links, and misaligned assessments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams, plus disciplined version and configuration control on shared projects.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance are required; the ability to pass a government background investigation is required.
  • Oklahoma City metro location is strongly preferred, and on-site work is the default because of classified work, coaching, paired authoring, and SME collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility as a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Lectora, or a comparable authoring platform.
  • Knowledge of xAPI, Interactive Courseware, IMI Level I–IV conventions, Section 508/WCAG, or SCORM packaging.
  • QA experience involving test cases, defect tracking, and regression testing, or prior aviation, aircrew, maintenance, or Naval Aviation experience.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, instructional design, learning sciences, small cross-functional teams, or AS9100 environments.

Culture & Benefits

  • Structured coaching and paired work with a senior Courseware Developer and Instructional Systems Designers.
  • Defined progression from QA and editorial work to independent lessons, modules, and full-course authoring.
  • Work in a small cross-functional team with Courseware Developers, ISDs, SMEs, multimedia developers, and training-system specialists.
  • 9-80 workweek: 80 hours across 9 workdays, with every other Friday off.
  • Standard office environment with prolonged computer-based work and access to classified or SCIF-adjacent spaces as required.
