Accounts Receivable Specialist (Finance)

Location: 100% onsite in Tampa, Florida, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Manage customer service and collection activities for a regional portfolio of small-balance accounts receivable.
• Make outbound collection calls, support order release, and maintain worklists to promote prompt invoice payment.
• Work with customers, branch managers, regional managers, field personnel, and cash applications teams to reduce receivables and Days Sales Outstanding.
• Reconcile difficult or disputed accounts and resolve issues involving payments, billing, pricing, and cylinders.
• Complete time-sensitive administrative work, follow credit and collection policies, and meet assigned performance metrics.
• Escalate collection risks and complex customer matters to the VP of Finance when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of experience in credit and collections, accounts receivable, finance, or a related field.
• Proven success in a high-volume accounts receivable role.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
