What you will do
- Oversee corporate accounts receivable operations across invoicing, cash application, collections, credit management, and account reconciliations.
- Lead, train, and develop the AR team by assigning workloads, setting goals, and conducting performance reviews.
- Establish credit policies, evaluate customer creditworthiness, and approve credit limits.
- Drive collections, reduce days sales outstanding, and resolve complex customer billing disputes.
- Manage AR-related month-end and year-end close activities, including aging analysis, revenue recognition, and doubtful-account calculations.
- Present AR aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and performance metrics while partnering with Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and external auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounts receivable or accounting experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, credit and collections practices, and AR internal controls.
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as Xero or Ramp, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
- Ability to work for extended periods at a computer workstation.
Nice to have
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience in property management, real estate, or a related industry.
