Network Engineer 2 (Travel Required) - Cisco/Jira/LatteArt/STE/STN/SSP/Cisco

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, with a primary seat in Columbia and frequent work at NBP320 and other operational locations. Occasional OCONUS travel and on-call support are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Provide daily network engineering support for two operational customer networks.
• Configure, upgrade, and sustain Cisco and Arista network systems.
• Support firewall and cryptographic equipment.
• Configure systems in the contractor facility and support in-person or remote fielding of new equipment.
• Work through JIRA tickets, investigate operational issues, and provide on-call support after onboarding.
• Perform SSP compliance activities for STE and STN devices.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• At least six years of network engineering support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• IAT Level I baseline certification under DoD 8570.01-M.
• Experience configuring and sustaining Cisco and Arista equipment.
• Familiarity with LatteArt and SSP compliance for STE and STN devices.

Nice to have

• Call Manager experience.
• Cisco ASA firewall experience.
• Experience automating repetitive tasks, inventory collection, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure, or containerized environments.
