Civil Engineering Intern (AutoCAD)

Location: Omaha, NE; office attendance required several times per week during the school year and full-time during the summer

Base compensation: $21–$24 per hour, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Support municipal roadway and utility projects in the field and office.
• Assist with on-site construction observation, construction surveying, and staking.
• Support project managers and engineers with project development and civil design tasks.
• Draft accurate project information using AutoCAD and related software.
• Communicate with staff, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Completed or currently enrolled in engineering-related coursework.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in municipal engineering and/or land development projects.
• Must be able to work from the Omaha office several times per week during the school year and full-time during the summer.
• Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with basic AutoCAD tasks through coursework or prior employment.
