Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Dallas, Texas; hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $47,959–$54,498 per year

What you will do

• Assist with civil engineering designs from conceptualization through completion while following regulatory standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, risk assessments, and resolution of project-related issues.
• Prepare technical reports, narratives, development applications, proposals, and project documentation.
• Develop engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and apply current engineering standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Degree must be from an ABET-accredited university or an NCEES-equivalent institution.
• Available to work in the Dallas office at least 3 days per week.
• Part-time internship; preference is given to candidates available for at least 3 months and able to work full-time.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or Open Roads Designer.
• Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
