Civil/Highway Co-op

Location: In-person, full-time at the New York, NY office, United States

Salary: $24–$27 per hour

What you will do

• Support design teams across multiple civil and highway engineering projects.
• Prepare plans, detail drawings, engineering calculations, estimates, and quantity take-offs.
• Contribute to highway and local roadway design, drainage and grading, and green infrastructure projects.
• Support utility and facility upgrades, transit flood mitigation, resiliency, feasibility studies, and recreation or waterfront development.
• Collaborate on projects for clients including NYCDEP, NYCDDC, MTA-New York City Transit, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, and NYSDOT.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, self-motivated approach.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.
• Availability for an in-person, full-time co-op in New York from January through June 2027.

Nice to have

• Previous architecture, engineering, or construction internship experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Local residency in the New York area.
